In-Store Distribution for Your CD

CD Baby will make your CD available to over 2400 CD stores and on-line retailers worldwide (mostly United States). These stores include retailers such as Amazon, Borders, and many smaller independents.
Even better than typical distribution: you always get paid the following week with no returns.
This is done through our partnership with one of the largest one-stop distributors in America.

What is a “One-Stop”?

A “one-stop” is a wholesaler that gets products from many different distributors, into one central ordering system for retail stores.
A one-stop CD distributor offers retail stores everything from the Beatles to Miles Davis, and now : you.
Retail stores order from a one-stop to save time and trouble over ordering from many different distributors.
Our primary partnership is with Super D : one of the largest one-stop CD distributors in America. They have a great reputation, a great sales staff, and are very excited to be making the CD Baby catalog available to every retail store.
We also work directly with several of Super D's partner companies (CD Connection, CD Universe, and Cheap-CDs), and with In-and-Out Records in Austria, who are all great supporters of independent music and may also sell your CD on their on-line stores.

If your CD is not in CD Baby yet, sign it up like normal. Mail us the CDs.
You do need a valid, unique UPC, also known as a barcode, on your CD to be listed in Super D's database. If your barcode is incorrect it will prohibit your title from being listed with Super D (we validate all bar codes to make sure the correct artist gets paid).
Once your CD is active and available on cdbaby.com, with a (barcode), we send Super D and the other stores daily updates of your info, pricing, and inventory.
Super D's database (called "SuperFile") and B2B site are sent to over 2400 retail and on-line stores around the world, to let them know these titles are available for ordering.
Any store can then sell your CD by buying it through Super D.
As soon as Super D receives the order from the store, they tell CD Baby, and we ship it to Super D by UPS that same day. Super D sends it to the store the next day.
The order gets put into our system like any other order, with our partner's info as the customer, for you to see.
Like always, you get an email that night, telling you it's shipped, and you get paid along with our every-Monday-night payments.
